Description

The Salewa Ortles Ascent Mid GTX alpine mountain boots impress in technically demanding terrain, on mountaineering tours with and detours over ice and snow with clever solutions for optimal protection and the best performance for modern, athletic alpinism. The comfortable mountain boot, suitable for combi crampons, has a robust leather upper and is permanently waterproof and breathable thanks to the Gore-Tex® lining. The insulating lining keeps the feet sufficiently warm above the tree line, even at lower temperatures.

An optimised interplay of stabilising elements with flexible inserts creates excellent mobility in the mountain specialist, thanks to the elastic gaiter shaft. Proven, partly newly developed technologies such as the Flex Collar shaft construction in conjunction with the stabilising Ankle Protector System or the 3F System for adjustable support in the ankle area with excellent heel lock contribute significantly to a very comfortable wearing sensation for this category.

This also includes the 3D Lacing lacing system, divided into 3 sections: forefoot, midfoot and shaft, for targeted fit adjustment. As a conditionally crampon-compatible mountain boot, the Ortles Ascent Mid GTX has an optimally stiffened midsole construction with rocker support in the heel area and the light and very non-slip Vibram® Alpine Guide outsole with the climbing zone.
