Rofan, climbing guide alpine

<p>Work on the new edition of the guidebook was almost complete when Hannes Salvenmoser died in an accident in the Rofan mountains in July 2009. Hannes was the driving force behind the project û the new edition of the climbing guide for "his" little paradise behind the front door is intended to commemorate a very special person and climber who had a decisive influence on climbing in the Rofan mountains. Mike Rutter, Hannes Marbler, Andreas Kirchner and Hannes' partner Maria Mühlbacher have completed his work, with Ralf Sussmann, as with the first edition, steering the northern section.</p> <p>Squeezed between the mighty Karwendel and the famous Kaiser, the small Rofan mountains are a very special climbing area, also in terms of landscape.
