<p>The LD K Down Jacket by Millet is a seriously warm garment and a great choice for mountaineers who venture to high altitudes or cold regions. With a whopping 250 g of duck down (size M), the jacket bulks up nicely and keeps you warm through the day, even in low minus temperatures. Since moisture is always an issue with down, the French have kitted out their jacket with special features. On the outside, Pertex® Quantum Ultra Light is a windproof and highly water-repellent material. Despite its lightness, the fabric also has a very high tear resistance.</p><p>The down itself also remains calm in damp conditions. The K Dry™ Down has been specially hydrophobically treated, which means it absorbs significantly less water and dries much quicker than ordinary down. The jacket can be worn solo, even in cold and damp conditions. When it gets wet, however, it also fits perfectly with a hardshell jacket as an insulating layer.</p><p>Thanks to the elastic inner sleeves, the adjustable hem and the adjustable hood with the extra-high collar, alpinists can stay warm and snug and enjoy the view at the summit.</p>
