<p>The Hotwire carabiner from Black Diamond may look like a classic wire gate carabiner, but it contains a lot of technical finesse. Black Diamond has reworked and reissued the classic with plenty of attention to detail - a wire gate of the very latest generation. <p>The hot-forged construction ensures super breaking load values with low weight. By reworking the material distribution, the Hotwire carabiner has a larger rope contact area on the large carabiner side, making it both more rope-friendly and more durable. The small side is deliberately kept slimmer to reduce twisting of the carabiner in the quickdraw.</p> <p>The result is a highly functional carabiner that is ideal for building lightweight quickdraws.
